We’re on a short pause! Donations and shop visits will resume soon. Short pause! Back soon.

Effective date: July 17, 2026

414 Art Revival (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website, 414artrevival.com, from our shop at 8004 West National Ave, West Allis, WI 53214, in the United States. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect very little, we store most of it on our own server, and we never sell personal information.

Information you give us

Newsletter signups. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address, the date you signed up, and which form on the site you used. This list is stored in our website’s own database on our own server and is used only to send you our newsletter and shop updates. Every newsletter we send will include an unsubscribe link and our postal address, and unsubscribe requests are honored promptly. If we later use an email delivery service (such as Kit or Mailchimp) to send the newsletter, your email address will be shared with that provider only so it can deliver our emails.

Applications. Applications to be a featured artist or to teach a workshop are collected through Google Forms. The information you enter in an application (such as your name, contact details, and anything else the form asks for) is stored with Google in our Google account and is used only to review your application and follow up with you.

Messages you send us. General questions come to us by email at [email protected]. Whatever you choose to include in those messages is stored in our email mailbox, which is provided by Google (Gmail) and subject to Google’s own privacy practices.

Information collected automatically

Server logs. Like nearly every website, our web server keeps standard access logs: the IP address a request came from, the browser type, the pages requested, and the date and time. We use these logs only for security and troubleshooting, and they are deleted after about 14 days. Records of blocked or abusive traffic may be kept longer by our security tools.

Analytics. We measure how the site is used with tools that run on our own server, so visit data is not handed to an outside analytics company. One of these tools uses no cookies at all. The other, Matomo, is described in detail in the “Website analytics” section at the bottom of this page, which also includes a control to opt out of analytics entirely.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses no advertising cookies. The cookies and browser storage you may encounter here are:

  • a first-party Matomo analytics cookie that recognizes returning visits (see the “Website analytics” section below, including the opt-out),
  • a small browser storage entry that remembers you closed our popup so it stops reappearing,
  • cookies that Cloudflare, our security and delivery provider, may set to protect the site from malicious traffic.

No third party collects information about your activity on other websites through this site.

Third-party services

  • Cloudflare. All traffic to this site passes through Cloudflare, which we use for security and performance. Cloudflare processes visitor IP addresses and related technical data on our behalf under its own privacy policy.
  • Eventbrite. Tickets and registrations for our events are handled on eventbrite.com under Eventbrite’s own terms and privacy policy. We do not process event payments on this site. If you register for one of our events, Eventbrite makes registration details (such as your name and email address) available to us so we can run the event.
  • Google. Our email mailbox is Gmail and our application forms are Google Forms, so messages you send us and applications you submit are stored with Google.

How we use information

We use the information above to send the newsletter you asked for, respond to your messages, understand which parts of the site are useful, and keep the site secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.

How long we keep information

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete yours. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed for the matter it concerns. Server logs are deleted after about 14 days. Analytics data is kept on our server as visit statistics.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us.
  • Opt out of analytics using the control in the “Website analytics” section below.
  • Email us at [email protected] to review, update, or delete personal information we hold about you. We will respond to every reasonable request.

Do Not Track

This site does not track visitors across other websites, so there is no cross-site tracking to turn off. The site does not currently change its behavior in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal, but the analytics opt-out below is available to everyone.

Children

This is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and data breaches

The site is served over HTTPS, and our server uses a firewall, automatic blocking of abusive traffic, and restricted administrative access. No website can promise perfect security, but if a breach ever affects personal information covered by Wisconsin’s breach notification law (Wis. Stat. 134.98), we will notify affected people within the time the law requires.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. For significant changes, we will also post a notice on the site.

Website analytics

We use Matomo, a web-analytics tool that we host ourselves on our own server. When you visit this site, Matomo collects standard technical information to help us understand how visitors use the site: the pages you view and the order you view them in, the date and time of your visit, how you arrived (for example a search engine or a link from another site), your approximate geographic location (derived from your IP address), and basic device and browser information. Matomo uses a first-party cookie to recognize returning visits. This information is stored only on our own server, is used solely to improve our website and services, and is never sold or shared with third parties or advertising networks. You can opt out of analytics at any time using the control below.
